Contactless ticketing in Austria: OÖVV tickets now available in the Mobile Shop

It is now easier than ever for passengers of the Austrian transport association Oberösterreichischer Verkehrsverbund (OÖVV) to purchase a public transport ticket. Completely contactless purchase: especially under the current circumstances of the Corona pandemic, the mobile ticket offers passengers in Upper Austria an important advantage. This way, purchasing the ticket is possible while at the same time observing the required safety distance and hygiene measures. To make it as easy as possible for its passengers to get started with mobile ticketing, the OÖVV also offers ticket purchase without the need to register.

The OÖVV mobile shop is based on the industry-leading online sales system TICKeos, which is provided by eos.uptrade GmbH (eos.uptrade), the Hamburg-based market leader for online and mobile ticketing. One-stop solution: with the download of the OÖVV INFO app, which is available on Apple Store and Google Play Store, passengers have long been able to obtain travel information in addition to their tickets. This information enables passengers to easily and quickly plan and realise their trip. They can now also conveniently buy a ticket directly from the information system. Within the VAO (Traffic Information Austria), the travel information app is provided by HaCon Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH (HaCon) based on their timetable information system HAFAS. HaCon is a partner company of eos.uptrade and, just like the Hamburg-based ticketing expert, a member of Siemens Mobility. Together, HaCon and eos.uptrade provide integrated information and ticketing solutions.
