The software company eos.uptrade provides online sales systems and ticketing solutions mainly for the public transport sector. The company was founded in 2000 and since then has developed into one of the most innovative software specialists.
In 2005, eos.uptrade launched its first online shop for public transport services in Hamburg and Nuremberg. Since then, the company decided to develop its solutions exclusively for the travel and transport industry and to become a leading provider in this area.
In addition to its mobile ticketing apps, eos.uptrade also offers a large selection of solutions for integrated timetable and fare information, mobile and web-based ticketing options for passengers, corporate clients, students, service and call centers as well as the integration of third-party sales channels and event tickets. This portfolio is completed by apps for ticket inspection and by the integration of additional mobility services such as car sharing, bike sharing, taxis, etc. for multimodal travel information and booking. eos.uptrade aims to offer comprehensive and integrated ticketing and sales solutions to transport companies.
At present, eos.uptrade has more than 80 customers in public transport (e.g. Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Vienna) and in tourism who use mobile and online ticketing solutions with different interfaces to external systems.
In 2011 and 2012, eos.uptrade won the Deloitte Fast 50 Award as one of the fastest growing IT companies. In 2016, eos.uptrade also won the TOP 100 Award, an award handed out to honour Germany’s most innovative SMEs. A jury of renowned international experts praised the company’s smartphone-based Check-In/Be-Out solution.

Since October 2013, HaCon (a subsidiary of Siemens Mobility GmbH) has been a partner and shareholder of eos.uptrade. In 2018, HaCon increased its share in eos.uptrade to 75%. This enables eos.uptrade, together with its partners Siemens Mobility and HaCon, to increasingly offer integrated passenger information and ticketing solutions.
